Lonely Ten, otherwise known as the Doctor

This is fictional livejournal designed for RP games.

Character description: The Doctor is a Time Lord, an extraterrestrial scientist from the planet Gallifrey, who wanders time and space in an internally vast time machine called the TARDIS (Time And Relative Dimensions In Space). As all Time Lords he had the ability to regenerate, escaping from death. Time Lords only have twelve regenerations. This Doctor is at his tenth.
The Tenth Doctor generally displays a light-hearted, talkative, easy-going, witty and somewhat cheeky manner, but combines this with a somewhat egocentric sense of unstoppability when facing his enemies, although he can be ruthless and dangerous. When needed he uses this cheerful mask to hide inner emotions and turmoil.
Despite his constant interaction with others, the Doctor is indeed a very lonely person deep down. He already was even before the destruction of Gallifrey. He described Time Lord's ability to regenerate as a curse once.
He has a youthful, somewhat messy appearance, with unruly brown hair and huge brown eyes. He sometimes wear a pair of spectacles, especially when he is in the middle of a geeky outburst. He is always in a blue tuxedo and has trainers to his feet. He also has a tendency to be rude without meaning to.
The Doctor's age isn't definite, but he is over a thousand years old. He has several abilities inherent to his species, such as telepathy and hypnosis.

Character background: The Doctor was born on the planet Gallifrey. His past is quite mysterious. He trained as any other Time Lord at the Academy, where he met his old foe the Master. He has lived countless adventures with different companions, most of them humans, and regenerated nine times.
Gallifrey has been destroyed during a war known as the Time War, between the Time Lords and their enemies the Daleks, which they had created. The Doctor was the one to destroy his home planet, left with no other choice to end the war. He has been alone every since, but recently the Master reappeared, reveling that he has escaped the war, revived by the other Time Lords to be the perfect weapon against the Daleks.
After a year of struggle with the Master, to the end of which the latter supposedly died, the Doctor left his last companion, Martha, with her family on Earth. He now travels alone.
